RE: my new KE70.. i'm looking for an alternative to a 20v or 16v 1.6 and was thinking the regular 1.8 used in corollas from circa 1990 is the 1.8 from these cars a 4 series motor(i.e 4AGE etc) if so i cant imagine them requiring much more modification than say a 20v (or 16v for that matter) but with an additional 200cc and a much wider parts base. The reason i ask is that these engines are not considered performance engines and wont have been thrashed plus they dont have the additional price loading that is inherent with 20v ("its 100kW bro!" "it must be worth 400 bucks more than what i bought it for and i've thrashed it because i thought it was a performance engine.." etc) cheers Tobes [Report message to a moderator]
