I was wondering if any one new the paint codes/names that the ke10 used as i have not been able top find them anywhere. I have called toyota and the were no help. Also if any shock absorber manufacturers made something 4 the ke10. Also unable to find anything.
Finally, is it possible to make the lights on my guages brighter as they are quite dull.
Any help would be great thanx

the paint names/codes and the interior specs are all in the toyota parts book, my copy is in my office at the moment and im not going back there for another week and a half... i could go pick it up tomorrow if you are desparate though
you can still get shocks, motormate on sth road looked them up for me recently
you can probably make the lights brighter by fitting different globes in the back of the guage panel, take it out and you will see the twist in type globes in the back - see if you can find something similar from another car maybe

Hi, i called motormate today and they didnt have anything! Neither Monroe, Gabriel or kyb make them 4 ke10's. As for the paint codes whenever you can get them would be great. Do you know where i can get one of those books? Is there any others that could be usefull.
thanx

tokico might still make them, i have a few of those..
koni do.
as for gauges, pull apart the instrument cluster, and line the inside with foil (reflective side out).. this will help a lot.

Pro Ke,
Is your Parts manual a small ring bound version from 1967 ? The one I have has all the bloody pages jumbled up and I think a few are missing. If I ever get the time to sort through it and put the pages in order is there any chance I could grab a photo copy of any missing pages ? I am not sure how much is missing yet, its all over the plave its catelogue 93131-67.
I have catelogue 93133-67 thats complete but its a much smaller catelogue ?
So do any of the codes actually appear on the ID tag ?

howdy
my parts books are bound up like a phone book (and almost as thick!) and the pages dont come apart - not sure where yours is from? is it on the glossy paper? doesnt matter, it still does the job ill get my parts book cat number when i go back in to work again
i havent ever seen the paint codes on any tag on a ke10 or ke11, but that doesnt mean they never put them on - ive just never seen them thats all!
personally i have never found paint codes on 30+ year old cars to be of much use, not like you can get the paint from toyota anymore and if you could, it wouldnt matter because no doubt there would be signifigant colour changes between a 30 year old can of paint and what has been out in the weather for the same amount of time!

I have a KE10, with paint code number intact in the engine bay. I have recently re-sprayed my car using the same paint code. You can take your code to any paint place and they whould be able to mix it up. I went to Lonsdale Paint Supplies, just off Sheriffs Road. What I also noticed, is that on the list (a few posts ago) my colour did not appear? Strange.. my colour is Willow.. can't tell you the paint code right now because I'm at work, but I thought I'd just metion all this.
