A wiring issue or 10 on 4agte Mon, 15 November 2004 04:48
Hey all. well im finally joining the world of the 4agte after all my gloating
Embarassed
I used the 4age that was in my mr2 and have ordered some gze pistons, could i have just used a thicker HG? neway my serious question is to do with the wiring side of things. I decided to go with the 4agze se-up froma ae92 MAP sensored Corolla. (gti16 / levin or whatever they are)
Now ive done some wiring before, but was on a carby car with emissions so it was nothing like this job. i have a guy who knows his wiring really well whos goign to help me but i wanted to hear exactly what we're in for. SO, whats involved in wiring in a 4agze loom into a 4age engine bay? do we have to splice or do we change things at the connectors like on the 20v conversions? Do i need to keep any of my old engine harness? and will the gze connectors connect upto things on my engine like sensors and stuff?

if anyone can give me an outline on what we need to do would be great, if anyone has installed a MAP sensored 4agze into their mr2 or other car your input would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!
