lol most ppl will say new engine i guess 4age? *shrugs* i got a 1.6 carby engine (4a-fc) and im new to the scene too, all i have done to my car is cat back high flow exhaust system and im getting a K&N air filter for it this week. but have a search on the board there is lots of usefull stuff to give you ideas and stuff =D

oh yeah, what i have been seeing on the board is really, either really, high flow exhaust system, air filter, new cam. then there is stuff like engine conversions from naturally aspirated to forced induction with engines like, 4agte/4agze i have heard of a 7mgte engine being put into a ae92, but id imagine that would take huge amounts of effort.

Best option would be to save your money for a conversion, $500 spent now on the 1.4 is $500 towards a half cut.
If you are going to spend any money now put it towards some suspension upgrades, get use to the car's limits whilst you save for the conversion... provided thats what you want to do.

7mgte into an ae92? Rolling Eyes ehh i think someone is yanking your chain there.

hmm i only know of a place in perth with K&N air filter, was 130 bucks for mine, same engine i think. umm try your local repco or supercheap? and ask them to order it in i guess. i asked them first and they said it would be ~150 but i found another place in perth called "go gear racing" and they must be like a K&N stocker/specialist

and in regards to the 7mgte it was on the net, ill have a look for the site but i think it was a drag car not too sure.

i doubt they managed a 7mgte, possibly 3sgte (shitload of effort) Very Happy

For K&N filters, check out supercheap auto like suggested. I've seen them retail for $105 in bondi. But i'd suggest you do a conversion to at least a 4age, and then add extractors, the K&N filter, and possibly CAI. Or just go the 4agze Razz

it was supercheap auto on corner of bronte road and ebley street. It's a new store, i know they had some stuff, like pod's and panel filters, call them up or give them a visit and see if they have any for carby's coz they might have more stock now Very Happy
