MX83 - Big miss in engine Fri, 19 November 2004 08:08 Go to previous message
My 1989 MX83 -188,000 km started to miss really badly the other day when I backed it out onto the street. It did this all day and felt like one or two cylinders weren't working at all. It ran really rough with little power. I got my dad to drive it and he just said it runs like a "hairy goat". Big help dad. The really strange thing is that last night, I was trying to accelerate down the road with it bucking and missing, and all of a sudden it just went and it's been running smoothly since. Are these symptoms that anyone recognises. I thought it was electrical until it decided to go and didn't miss any more. Dad said maybe dirty petrol, but now I'm getting paranoid about it. What could it have been?
