story is: bedroom guitar player joined a band as a bassist for shits and giggles, band is quite polished and will be looking to gig.
im looking to buy a bass rig but i have no idea what brands to look at.
heres some details
music style == heavy metal/groove metal
bass atm == fender musicmaster
dont want to pipe into PA system
willing to pay for brand made in USA/Euro/Japan
from what i can gather all i need at the moment is a head and and 15" sub.
should i look for tube or solid state?
should there be any wattage or ohm rating that i should look for if for example, in the future i get a 2x10" to stick on top of the sub?
