yeah i know what u mean.
I've stopped calling tassie places.
i was thinking of buying that import place in moonah when it was for sale but i don't think there would be enough demand and it needs money spent on it anyway.

yeah the whole thing.
it's part of a chain there is one on the gold coast aswell.
i was just gunna buy the moonah shop tho
they only wanted like $55,000 including stock.
but it wasn't making much money and it pretty much just a shed with a bunch of car parts in it.I also would have to send somebody over to japan every year to get shit but i don't know anybody who speaks japanese and knows about cars
Owning a bussines is the biggest investment u can make aslong as ur willing to put in the hard yards.

Maybe you guys should look into group buys for the goods you want? The freight can be divided up to make it quite economical to everyone - Hell, I freighted a pallet there the other day, with an engine on it for $270 - from Perth!

Hi,
That shop in Moonah is useless. My 4AGZE came from Perth (WA). It was easier and cheaper for my Dad to find one over there and send it back with the T50, Supra seats and a whole lot of other miscellaneous gear. Freight was ~$280.
All the items I purchased from the mainland and Toymods have been problem free.
The local Co-Op Toyota dealership were a nightmare for getting new parts from. They did get everything in the end though. I did have to give them part numbers, and it helped if I had a diagram with me.
A "reputed" Japan import yard in Hobart (not the Moonah one) tried to repeatedly tell me that I needed to buy items I did not need, and even argued when I wanted certain things. Sellers on Toymods have prospered due to this.
The radiator trauma!!! A Launceston (Tasmanian) wrecking yard will be seeing me in the small claims court, due to them not supplying a good, and then blaming the freight company. I've spoken to the freight company, and have the run sheets for the day that the radiator was "alleged" to have been picked-up.
I don't have many good things to say about many of the automotive specialists that deal with Japanese import gear here in Tasmania. If I had a boogadore I would have been right though.
