Help re: new/old seats for KE50 Corolla.. Mon, 29 November 2004 20:36
Howdy all.

Got me some new seats, apparently out of an AE82. Nice seats, very comfy. When I measured them up, they were close enough to buy, considering nothing else was anywhere near close.

Now I'm kinda stuck though. The rails are the same length, so that'll be nice and easy, however, they are further about, by about 4cm. I'm thinking about knocking up a bracket to change it, like a square shape with square steel tube. Weld it all together, weld some bolts to the frame and do it all up.

First question: anyone got a better idea? I'm a bit concerned about the safety/stability of this idea.. I assume if it's all welded up well and the bolts are secured enough, it'll be fine.

Next question: anyone in the Bayswater (VIC) area willing to help me out? I don't have a welder, of any sort. I'm happy to design it all, source all the stuff, just need someone to put it all together. Smile

Hope someone can help me, thanks.
