pituala Regular Location: Ft.Lauderdale, FL, USA Registered: October 2004	Ignition Coil Question Tue, 30 November 2004 22:18 Does anyone know why the coil on the 1G-GTE has 3 wires? I've always seen 2 wire coils, and I just checked my buddy's 7M non turbo motor, and his is 2 wire also. I don't know if the 3 wire coil is from the 5M or the 1G, but I want to upgrade my coil to a high output such as an MSD, but the whole 3 wire thing is making it hard to determine which coil to get.
