removing 4age timing belt cover

im in the process of changing my cams now. im stuck trying to remove the bottom bolt of timing belt cover.
anybody lived through this b4??

do i actually have to remove the hoses??

managed to get bolt oout. realised engine mount bracket goes right through timing belt cover!!
decided i want to make a hole in the cover frm bracket position downwards so i can slide cover off. Any suggestions how to do this??

wouldnt it be better and neater to remove the engine mount,the motor wont fall out

i long overcame this problem. yep u guessed it removing the engine mount
now how do i get the cover back on
guess ill go ahead in making the hole in cover

i feel your pain i had to do this on my supercharged mr2 and you have to take off all sorts of stuff like the water pump pulley etc.. Was a b*tch of a job to say the least good luck.

last time i actualy put that metal backing plate back on i cut the bit out that goes in behind the engine mount (after i removed the engine mount to get it off of course).
i dont use the timing belt cover or backing plate now, so that bit dont matter to me anymore.
