are they genuine toyota (Koyto) items or taiwanese replacements? $170 is a great price.

How much do you want?

How hard is it to rip out the crudy black strip one and replace it with nice shiney silver one?

heya man, the grill is real easy to tear out, all you gotta do is bend the clips on the head lamps where the legs go through and undo the screw and out she pops, then reverse the deal with the install of the new one. i had a sx seca and the series 2 grill looked heaps better than the 89-90 model horizontal lines crap. your best bet is to go to a jap wreaker, you will get one there for sure, there are just so many seca's on the road, the parts are easy to get.

HAHAHA!
you're joking right? the colour coded grille on the series one's look mean and most people I've spoken too agree. Series 2 front bumper is designed differently too and doesn't have that cool lower lip like the series 1 has. Another thing the series one's have chrome trim on the grille bars which also looks trick. I'm not saying the later model grille is bad (except when the clear plastic outer frame turns to yucky weather beaten yellow) but If I had a series 2, I'd keep an eye out for a series one nose cut.

no way, i had a 90 model sx seca, i pissed of the grill and put the later model in cause there is just no comprimise, the series 2 is a much better looking, much more style and thought has go into its design. i should post a photo of my old 90 model with the series 2 in it. JULZ, im not saying your wrong, every one likes things differently, but thats just how i like it

there IS a compromise juzzo. That clear plastic surrounding plastic fades to a dirty yellow colour over time. You think much thought has cone into the design? for christs sake, it's just a hole with a bit of mesh that toyota couldn't bother colour coding! I would love to see the photo tho. If it looks cool, i'll see if I can swap with my bro coz he's got the 92 SX and even he prefers the look of the 90 grille. I guess if you can paint the series 2 grille and remove the toyota badge it'll look better.
