help with power windows Sun, 05 December 2004 01:25 Go to previous message
well i bought some power windows for my car. thought i didnt have the required plug so i cut up the loom to hardwire it in (if thats even a word?) anyway it turns out i did have the plug so i rewired it without all the other crap that came with the loom (central locking, mirrors etc)then plugged it in. didnt work. Mad

i dont know why it doesnt work, whether i have wired it wrong or put the switch back together wrong or if the motors even go at all.

is there a way to test the motors?

is all the other shit required to complete the circuit? (central locking wiring etc)

i have the motor connected to the swith, then all the wires coming from the switch i have wired straight to the corresponding colours on the plug that goes by the fuse box

should this not be working?

is there an easy way i can figure out whats causing the problem. eg wiring, stuffed motor or switch

any help you can give out would be very much appreciated
