Blew Gasket. Wat performance should i do now?

hey,
the other day i blew my head gasket and lol... well the car's not goin now.. but since i'm goin to take off the head wat should i do to get more performance from the 5sfe. I'm goin to get it shaved more, and the i was thinkin of gettin racing cam's.. does any1 know how much this will cost and wat else i should do... labour is not a problem as my dad used to be a mechanic so i just need to know wat i should do while the head is off and how much it will cost ruffly...
