Well, after a good 10 months or so off the road, and at least 2 years spent planning, parts gathering & constructing, my beloved orange celica is now running again, now powered by (yet another) 4AGTE. And oooh baby she has some power!!! To be precise, 180.1kW on 1.5bar of boost! She may have a bit more in her yet, but it seems the 4 puck ceramic clutch couldn't keep up with the rest of the setup. After my class winning 60kW at this years January dyno day, that equates to a 300% improvement!!! Yeah baby! I only just picked it up today, & there's still a number of minorish issues to sort out, but golly gee it's alot of fun, & I've only driven it with around .8 bar. For those of you not familiar with the setup, a comprehensive spec list can be found here: http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.php?t=msg&g oto=120&rid=37&S=e40b44e83dcf71f889ed121ca 734b1d1 Tomorrow I'll be getting her reregistered, and then she'll be making her official debut at the next Toymods cruise, details of which are here: http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.php?t=msg&t h=51993&start=0&rid=37&S=e40b44e83dcf7 1f889ed121ca734b1d1 As for the minorish issues, the clutch is starting to slip at higher boost levels (which I'm yet to experience), so I'll be starting a dedicated thread to 4AGTE clutches (I know it's a hot topic among other 4AGTE owners); the fuel lines could really do with an upgrade, more to make life easier of the fuel pump; the exhaust is too low under the middle of the car, hits the panhard rod up the back, and is a tad too loud for my liking; the BOV needs plumbing back (or anything to make it quieter); the airbox needs a lid; the radiator has a large gap around it & needs shrouding, and then may possibly need another fan; I still need to upgrade the lift pump; no doubt the standard celica diff will require an upgrade in the very near future; and I'm sure I will think of a few more things to add to that list the more I drive it. So I've got plenty to keep me busy! And now I'd like to say a big thanks to all the Toymodders for all the encouragement & advice, and a special thanks to Rod aka thetoyman75 and the Guys at SAS for getting her running & tuned, Jason aka YellowRolla for the fantasmic turbo manifold and countless hours of advice & encouragement, Kristian aka SupraMan for the turbo & boost controller, Brendan aka "I don't post on the forums" for the great parts at even greater prices, the various guys at my work for the numerous custom bits & peices, my brother for letting me use his car when my mums car just didn't cut the mustard, and of course my parents for putting up with no carport & an ever growing pile of celica & 4AGE spare parts!
