looking to do 4age 20v into xt130 corona Thu, 09 December 2004 11:42 Go to next message
Im looking into doing a 4age 20v conversion on my xt130 corona but im having trouble sourcing a rwd gearbox, if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be good. Also what is the "official" power output of the 20valves? I know they rev like all hell and are fun as in a fwd!

Yep, T50 will bolt right up, but you will need the RWD plate/shield that goes between the box and block otherwise your bellhousing will get stuffed full of shite.

I realise that the 4age is a good engine with a lot of potential but why would you put one in a xt130 corona?

I was of the understanding that you need the T50 out of an AE86 or AE71, not one from behind a T motor.

4age is too gutless for a 1060kg Corona. IMO there wouldn't be enough improvement over the old shitfire to warrant the costs.

I would go for a 1g-gte if I was you Smile

i was under the impression you needed an A series bellhousing to mate the T50 to a 4a series motor?

ie as in a sprinter bellhousing + T50 + 4age/gze/20v
