What do you do?
|

Hi all.
I want to put a line asking what you do during working hours (aside from bing the occasional Takumi wannabe).
As for me, I do sweet FA while the government pays for my fat arse to get around in my immaculate AE82.
Cheers all.

Hi,
I do fuck all - all day, everyday. The wife's job earns enough to keep me happy.
Though seriously, some dudes have been ringing me up lately and asking if I want to come back into the game again. I think I will when they up the offer.

i work at a public pool
mainly serve little kids (usually 8-12) lollies but also watch no1 drowns in the pool or crashes into any1 else on the slide
but the worst part is cleaning the toilets although its not like a get-right-in-there type of cleaning the toilets, its more of a splash-sum-chemicals-around-and-give-the-floor-a-b it-of-a-hose type of job
so yeah, its alright

during the summer and autum months i enjoy the rain and the -2 degree mornings while digging holes and moving heavy rocks. then after 8 -12 hours of getting wet, injured and cold i go home and get flamed by my gf for always being so tired.
And in the winter months i wake up at 4 in the morning to walk a few kms to catch a train to go and spend from 6am - 2pm burning myself wth boiling water/oil and cuting my fingers with sharp knives in my poor ass atemt to be a chef. I get paid a kingly 9 bucks an hour and come home to get flamed about the fact that we cant afford nice holidays. not that im complaining mind, the slippery ice, -15 degree weather and four hours of daylight per day definately make up for it.

Nah, best in winter.
When it's 30 degrees outside and -30 inside the 60 degree heat change is really tiring.
At least we get a 10 minute break every hour to thaw out!

Are you a Public Servant
I stick little plastic eyes onto common garden variety rocks and sell them as "pet rocks" at the local markets on Sundays. I also make "paddle-pop" stick boomerangs and sell them on E-bay to Americans as authentic Indigenous Australian hand-crafted boomerangs. Sometimes I make pornos too, but that's more of a hobby than a profession

I'm a mechanical design engineer with a company that makes electrowinning equipment for the mining industry. Electrowinning = the recovery of metals from solution by running an electric current through it (same process that is used to chrome plate old bumper bars for example).
I was also a high school teacher (Maths and Physics) in a former life - glad to be away from it now but I do kinda miss the holidays.....but it did allow me to teach engineering in the USA (North Carolina) for a year so at least I got something good out of it!

Sometimes i put stuff up on shelves...then wait for the customers to come along pick everything up and put it down wrong then go along and straighten it up (recovery)...mostly i sit up at the front counter and watch the hot cars to roll up. Good ol supa cheap auto always attracts mad cars. For those of you who know "Sasha's used cars" he came into work the other day in his farrari. Its funny because hes a massive drug dealer and head of the rebels.
