That time of year again... lots of presents and too much eating!!
Our annual Christmas Dinner this year is going to be held in the city - transport is good and for those that choose to, can continue into the night.
Venue for 2004...
OM THAI
Jones Bay Wharf
19-21 Pirrama Road,
Pyrmont
Date: Saturday, 18th December 2004
Time: 7.00pm
Cost: $25 Banquet
RSVP: 6th December (via this thread)
I've booked the restaurant for 30 people to start with, so pending RSVP's I can alter the numbers, BUT I must have a solid idea of numbers by the 6th December!
As the name suggests, this is a Thai restaurant, but the menu does cater for non-spicy eaters 
I'm told the food is great, and the view is just as good... situated at the end of the wharf overlooking Sydney harbour 
Parking is available on street (meter parking close by, or non-meter parking around the corner, or there is a parking station in the vacinity). Personally I'll going Public Transport to enjoy a few festive drinks. It'd be great to have a couple of drinking buddies!
On that note the restaurant is Licenced as well as BYO.

I've already paid my deposit for Mandy and myself. The last dinner was good, I can't wait for this one.
Although it does seem like a bit too classy an establishment for the majority of us.

I think I have another chrissy dinner on that night, but I'll check with the Missus. Would be great to meet you all properly over a nice meal and a few drinks.
My office is on Jones Bay Wharf and I occasionally have lunch at this Thai place. The food is quite good and it's pretty well priced, I think 30 people would pretty much have the place almost booked out though (which I suppose is a good thing for a christmas dinner). Also, it's only about a 5 min walk to star city and about a 10 min walk to Darling Harbour, if post dinner drinks are required

I;m really sorry guys but its my work christmas party that same night - on a cruise boat. There is no way im not going to get fitshaced on my boss' money with all my work buddies, so ill have to say no to this one 
BUT! I will call you guys when the boat lands, maybe i can meet up with some of you.... or maybe i will just go to Gas Nightclub or something

Quick update... there's always room for more!!
At present, I've counted around 20-25 people so far, so the booking is confirmed for apporximately 30, but in saying that, it won't be a problem to fit a few more people in if need be. The more the merrier as they say!
So don't be shy, post up if you still intend on coming, or meet us there on the night.

well this is goimg to be a big day and i hope i can still leave room for dinner.... going from up the coast to past woollongong to a family christmas bash approx 3.5 hrs one way then from there to the city for Toymods chrissy bash but hopefully a whole lot more fun all in one day lsifolieghvdsljxv ns,mdgfioswehgt........ahhh that's better

BIG thanks to Dav for planning last night.. It was a great chance to socialise with some familiar (and new) faces. No doubt a few interesting stories will come out, but I think sharing a taxi in with a stripper who was on the way to work kinda set the tone for the night we were about to have!!
Being right on the water was an awesome spot and even MY white boy taste buds didn't mind the food at all.
Thanks to everyone who came and made it a fun night - It really was great to see everyone having fun
Oh, and Dav - You can be my wingman any time!
