Well after looking at a few threads about mods for the 4AC I decided what would I exactly need to but a 4A-GE in my car.
The car is an 1985 Toyota Corolla CS Sedan. Its not the prettiest looking thing on the road but I love her being my first car and all.Since (from what ive read/heard) its not worthwhile to mod the 4AC and a 4A-GE conversion would be my best bet.Ive probably posted all this before but what the hell !
Ok first question - People say I need to change the fuel lines/tank etc since im using Leaded petrol at the moment ? Ive been using Vortex/Premium fuel as of late because of the cancelled sale of Leaded petrol, fuel seems to get in ok so whats the deal with this ? and ive also noticed alot of people doing this on the older version Corolla's with no mention of modifications to their standard fuel system.
Second - Will it bolt straight in ? or will I need to get some engine mounts made up or something ?
Thirdly - Is this a time consuming project ? meaning will certain parts need to be custom made etc ? how much will wiring set me back ?
I know that stuff like brakes/suspension will need to be looked at for this kind of swap so ive looked at that aspect.
Sorry if Ive sounded like every other post regarding this conversion but since im holidays with alot of times on my hands I thought id post this up
