The problem could be related to the 175mm pulley while using the top mount.

what's the other axis on the graph? Air fuel ratio? I can't see much in that top quality picture
That power dropoff looks pretty mean

if that is air/fuel ratio.. then its leaning out quite terribly!!
that doesnt look very healthy for an AFR at high RPM.

maybe the ECU is retarding the timing suddenly at that rpm... seems bad to have power suddenly drop like that.. means torque is dropping away even faster... that it stabilises at a lower level at higher rpm, there must be a control problem.

did the S/C shut off?
is the ignition timing set correctly?
is there a vacuum/boost leak to the MAP sensor?
i dunno - this one is WEIRD!
i thought i had it bad with my power trough.....

Karl even tho your power curve is a wonky p00, your mixtures are good for a fair chunk of the rev range.
but perhaps other mechanical factors caused your wonky p00, how many diffs u been through now?

1. came factory busted from piccies
2. busted thanks to sticky tyres and WSID and 6000rpm dumps
3. dropped the centre pin thingy after 1000kms(see the thread with videos)
4. wore out thanks to massive amounts of metal chunks in the housing and driving to brisbane and back....
Then there was the bog warmer that it came with originally....
Hilux is on the way. I still have nothing on Mr Sheerman though.
yes that graph is p00. I am this week installing the p00 smoothing fan device - ready for dyno day *(most improved is my target)

Ive read thats its due to the ECU.. and only happens on the MAP sensored ones?
There was a big post up about it on the Twincam website

Thats a tiny hit, around 4000rpm. Not this HUGE dip in the graph. Sounds like your SC might be dying. Especially if its making a growling rumbling sound.

You can get a HKS top mount which Jason has. But they only come up occasionally. I think ARC make one too.
You could get a custom one made up to fit in there, but that might be a bit pricey.
Personally i have a fairly large front mount, which fits in there nicely. Its very tight with the aircon in there too, and i would have had to ditch the aircon fan and replace it with very high flow 120mm fans in the space that the aircon condenser woudlnt get any direct airflow. I had to get custom lines made up.
I ended up ditching aircon because i cant get the wiring spliced in right from the JDM climate control .

saw the same problem on ym mates ae101 gze corolla.
Get a very good boost gauge, not some 50dollar piece of poo.
If your boost drops off and you hear a hissing noise its the belt slipping on the SC.
Try tightening your belt, worked for us

I played with a 101 GZE in it's original car briefly the other day. When I drove it first, it wasn't happy, at about 5 grand it died completely. I cleaned the air filter, didn't do much, also I noticed the huge amount of knock sensor activity, I accused the owner of using Safeway (Woolies) regular unleaded - turns out I was dead right Anyway, after a little while it got a lot happier again, and I haven't seen the car since.
