These guys should be able to do it for you too...
I can't recommend either of them as I have not ever used them but I'm sure they will do this type of suspension work.

I highly recommend Peter... best wheel alignments ever!

i rang them today as they just got back from holidays and they want $300 for both sides to get the strut shortened 1" and the seat swapped over and that way i can maintain the original shocks and springs... they were advising thats its not worth changing the seat but when i told him i want to maintain stock parts for future they said excellent idea...

now since i was expecting to pay alot more than that (i expected almost double) i am going to get it done next week Very Happy... brake upgrade here we come Evil or Very Mad... once they are done i need brake lines fabricated to suit and fit... i got told its 50c/1m and $3 a flare so estimate for 4 lines totaling 4m and 8flares will cost approx $25-$30 total

its easy to do

i used to do it often on old datsun and toyota struts

my old boss

stewart wilkins motorsport does this sort of stuff

but seems u have a guy to do them

becareful when you het this done

it can turn to shit

its hard to explain but u also need to modify the inner strut

basically if you run inserts then it doesnt matter u get the correct length insert

but if u still run the oil filled insert then its a good idea to machine done or cut the inner strut/sleave assembly by the same amount

think it only cause a prob if u are cuttin alot off

but i do know that if you dont shorten the inner aswell if its an oil type inner then it could bottom out and push the ass thru the bottom of the strut

i might have expalined it wrong but i do know u can run into probs

as for cuttin the spring seats

you can easily get a hacksaw

lightly and slowly cut round the base of the seat 2 mm above the weld

gring weld away then reweld seat in new position

careful not to cut into the strut when cuttin seat

if you du slightly just weld up and grind back

i used to do it in under 2 hrs

or 1 hr if strut was pulled apart and cleaned already

got the struts back today, will try and take pics tomorrow and put them up... they still need shocks and fitting back up...

i have one of the struts with the old shock in there to test and it fits perfectly and all looks awsome. i also got the stock '22 steering knuckles strut holes made bigger to fit on the new strut

im trying my best to maintain all original parts for the ceilca so when i need to change things it remains easy. also it enables me to keep all the suspension bits from the spare car instead of having to buy doubles of everything due to modifications.

i recon its the best way like this, keeps it simple over all. also once the cars on the road i want to test how the suspension feels and reacts and then from there i will decide if i want to go for coil over kits and if so what kind of coil over setup i want

and people think building a car is easy Laughing there is so much fiddling, comparing, measuring, testing, modifying and so many small details im starting to get a bit loopy with it all Laughing

ITS INSANE Shocked AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Evil or Very Mad
