The "Corona GT" avaliable in Japan of this same body shape had a 3T-GTE motor. Car was called a TT144 or similar, and was avaliable as 4 door sedan, or 2 door. The 3T-GTE is similar to a 2T-GEU but 1.8liter and turbo, as most of us know.

I would be inclined to use the 3T-GTE as I like factory looking setups. Depending on the year of your car, a late model 2T-GEU may be legal, but most would surgest something with more grunt.

3S-GTE maybe the better option.

1ggte, common conversion decent potential for some good power say 210rwkw, remember the corona only wieghs 1080kg. There is a guy with a wagon in wogga with a Vp commodore V6 match to a th700 gearbox, but the ecotec should fit as well as supercharged engine. Just need custom mounts etc, but plenty of go fast bits for commodore motors.
I wouldn't bother with beams 3sge yes its powerful but its fucking expensive and would cost more than sticking a 1jzgte in there if it would fit and that would have the 3sge licked to bits

yeah beams 3s is a bit out of my price range, thats why maybe gen 2 or 3 3sge would be a cheaper option.
beams 3s are gen 4 and 5 right?

Im just keeping the toyota theme so no commonwhore engines for me Very Happy

I just basicly want something with deasent power, nothing over the top. Theres no real point in trying to get any power from the 2sc just be too expensive and worthless realy? unless someone can prove me wrong?

Cheers

fuck the rta is useless
i was just told that it didnt matter about engines being older then the car...
would make the decision alot easier

would the people that do the blue slip do the same? Razz

Cheers

that is kinda true but the engine still has to meat emission tests for the time when the original engine was built.
