changed: cam timing query on 5ME Sat, 01 January 2005 09:11 Go to previous message
anyone got a 5ME manual handy?

i'm just about to remove the head from the 5ME and am undoing the camshaft bolt that attachs the camshaft sprocket to the cam.

fixed: it's reversed (and the thin metal plate with the security tab has a slight gouge in it now)

btw: the cam timing mark on the sprocket is 1/2 a link away from top centre - is this acceptable for this engine? for comparison my 18R was degree'd in to suit the turbo cam, so this amount of variation seems unacceptable - but maybe not? advice most welcome.

tia,
charles.
