It takes 3 litres of SAE75W-90 according to a translated Jap Workshop Manual, so 4 Litres is a very good idea.

Pete

Don't know what's best yet - I've had issues with all sorts so far, with hard/notchy changes when very hot. Currently using Syntrans but it's the same.

Manny: Best oil for that problem and the best oil for the R154 IMHO would be Redline MTL. Seems to fix the problem with hard shifting.

all the mk3 supra guys in the states swear by this oil. Apparently is gets rid of the rough changes, especially with getting it into 2nd. Apparently 2nd gear gets a bit tight first.

Oil world in Moorabbin has all the redline stuff. It is pretty expensive. I think from memory you are looking at over $100 to change your gearbox oil.
Only heard good thinks about it though.

I picked up the last gallon container Coventry had in stock in Sydney from Mascot this afternoon. They'll have more stock in a few days if someone orders.
Charged me ~$87 today after they quoted me ~$110 yesterday when I ordered it - not complaining Very Happy
- I'll put it in on Saturday and report back.
