Cracked windscreen - NRMA Tue, 11 January 2005 11:43 Go to next message
i just wanna know if anyone knows how much the excess is when you claim a cracked/broken car window on insurence while with nrma.
Is it the full excess amount or is it a smaller amount like $50-100 or somethin like that, i was told by someone that it is only a small amount, but im still unsure.

Havent had a chance to ring up NRMA, but i did just have a quick look on the website and found out, well basicly fuck all, only thing i found out realy is that you will have to pay an excess

Not sure what the excess is, but a new windscreen will cost you $200-300ish fitted depending on model.

Its the normal excess

but if someone else is responsible, claim it thru insurance and nrma will chase the person for the excess + damage.

Yup you have to ring them to get a quote. It's funny but I put a mate onto them because they were so much cheaper than my existing NRMA insurance(like $2000...). He has an 1989 Pulsar(nothing fancy, he just wanted cheaper insurance), but they told him it wasn't a "sports car" and they couldn't insure it Laughing I wonder how true that is.....

they used to be only for modified/classic cars, but they're branching out a lot now. I think I'll e-mail them my list of mods come insurance time Smile
