Hey ,
i need some fellow 1jzers help! my car (JZA70) was first smoking intermittantly on idle but now after a service , coolant flush and trans fluid change , it seems to do it every time after i have driven it , even when i havent been boosting. It doesnt seem to blow smoke when driving but when i have stopped for about 10 - 15 seconds it comes out like a soft stream , the smoke is white and has a smell to it.. if i also put my foot down a bit while its idling quite a mighty puff comes out..

Turbo seals? Valve stem seals? i have no idea...

any help greatly appreciated ,
cheers guys

Yep I'd say the valve stem seals, my JZA70 was exactly the same. There was also a past thread on here about it. Try searching for it, it will explain it all there Very Happy

Coolant is white puffy.
Oil is white/grey/blue/blackish.
Fuel is pure black.

Sounds more like turbo seals to me - the smell is a pungent sickly sweet smell.

I can't see why the smell would be any different if it was turbo seals - in both cases it's just oil burning?
