Guys, Thought someone mite be interested in this.
The american Mk2 Supra group have set up a group buy on Composite hoods. They've can get them made up in Fibreglass, Carbon Fibre, or even Kevlar. Theres a standard model, and a stripper model aswell, with the stripper being lighter, but not operating with struts, its held down with 4 bonnet pins.
Pricing wise, it has been finalized but we won't know the exact cost for everyone on the list till the buy closes and we have final shipping costs from the shipping company.
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Today's exchange rate is approx.
$1 Australian=$1.13 Canadian
OEM Style hoods and Scooped Hoods with full bracing in Fiber Glass
are $560 ($635 AUD).
OEM Style hoods and Scooped Hoods with stripper bracing in Fiber
Glass with 4 locking hood pins are $500 ($565 AUD).
In Carbon Fiber, add $200 ($226 AUD).
In Kevlar (your choice of color(red, blue or yellow)) add $275 ($310 AUD).
Shipping works out as $210 AUD per single hood or $300 for 3 hoods shipped together to sydney.
