froodogs Regular Location: Perth, WA Registered: October 2002	4age guzzling oil Mon, 11 November 2002 00:47 went to check the oil on my 4age powered ae86 yesterday... and the level was about half-way up the letter L. as in, L for too LOW. *sob* it's only about 3-4 weeks since i got it serviced/oil changed, and it's all of a sudden got next to no oil... so i've been keeping a close eye on the level since then, but i'm wanting to know what can be done about this, how i can work out what's causing it... i know the engine's not losing oil out the bottom or anything scary like that, but i'm told it could mean that my piston rings are shagged? will it take a total tear down/rebuild to replace them? is there a short term fix that i can use until i get my engine transplant sorted out? or do i just need to keep adding more oil and hope for the best? cheers guys.
