Hey guys, its been a while since i have been on here, sold my RA40 about 2 years back, thinking of getting another celica as a project car, looking at anywhaere from ra28 through to ra65, more than likely another ra40 coupe, just wondering if dropping a 1JZ-gte into one is a sensible thing to try.

everyone fits 1g's but im thinking i would like about
250-300 rwkw, how hard is that to get out of a 1g without opening up the block, i know i would be looking at metal head gasket, cams, turbo, computer and that sort of basic bolt on stuff. would it be cheaper to get that power from a 1g or a 1jz-gte considering start price for each halfcut is $2500 for a 1g-gte and $3500 for a 1jz-gte.

what is the max power you guys have seen run reliably on standard 1g internals? what sort of boost can be run on them?

what would the fit of a 1JZ-gte be like in the ra series engine bay? also is it possible to engineer it with that in NSW?

thanks
Jay
