CT12A blown seals ..	Sat, 29 January 2005 06:35

Hey guys , just found out on friday that i have blown turbo seals , which is why the car has been blowing smoke .. just wondering what the best thing to do is? i have been quoted about 2.7k at the most for a rebuild and that is fitted with steel wheels , new seals , and the housing made a bit bigger etc.. might be off the road for a while saving up for it cause i got a yellow too , will have to see if i make it over the pits .. just wondering what i should do cheers guys [Report message to a moderator]

You can buy brand new bolt-on replacement turbos that have steel wheels and are hi-flowed from Rush Imports in Queanbeyan for $2700! [Report message to a moderator]

wow thats not too bad , but i got to get them fitted - which is quite a bit of labour .. but i might look into that A second hand set is likely to have things wrong with them too , and i'd rather get them built with steel wheels instead of the ceramic [Updated on: Sat, 29 January 2005 07:52] [Report message to a moderator]
