Do you need another cat besides the primary?

Hi,
Looking at getting an exhaust made up for the aw11 and I'm tossing up between either
1) getting a dump made, a new cat, and the rest of the exhaust made up to suit the mufflers I already have (B-pipe with flex bend etc)
2) just getting the B-pipe made
Now, if money wasn't an issue in this already costly conversion, I'd just go for option 1.
But I'm thinking of going with option 2 until funds allow (well when the Minister of Social and Financial Affairs allows me to  ). That is, unless I need to run another cat besides the primary cat (pictured below), then I might as well bite the bullet and get the thing done properly to start with.
