ok i tried and tried and tried..
i want a new avatar but everytime i try to make 1 it cuts half the picture off when i try to make it the right size..
how do u make it the right size, without totally distorting it?
i see so many avatars that are clear but everytime i make mine smaller it distorts HELP!!
very frustrating

your not trying hard enough - theres a specific pixel size they have to be before they look good - its all layed out in your members profile on what size is needed

ok that wasnt helpful..ive read the profile 100 x 140 but still whenever i type those pixels in it cuts of most of the foto

have you got a program like photoshop or paintshop pro ?
you can select the size you need of the image you have , just by using the resize thing ..
Im no einstein when it comes to photoshop but every time ive done it - its worked

no i upgraded my computer and i lost the cd key..i have the photoshop cd but no key and i want this avatar 2nite

Yeah I had the same prob with my first avatar, I just scaled it down to the size needed in MS Photo Editor and it came out crap - very blocky and not very clear at all.
Since I don't have access to Photoshop or anything decent like that I downloaded a free program called Easy Thumbnails (since the required avatar size is pretty much a thumbnail anyway) from http://www.download.com and it worked a treat.

thanks for your help il download that,
and as for my probation status , i was muckin around on a thread and 1 guy "davedrifts" got banned and me and towe001 got put on probation,
so we have to be little angels 
i dont no when the proabation will be liften as i have been good scince..mayb a mod or the club president could shed some light on the situation..cheers
