Buying a ST165 GT4

My my brother is looking at buying a GT4. There's one for sale here in SA for $10,000 that this guy has privately imported and irs complied and ready to go. I am a bit weary about this guy's operation, he imports mostly 80s car and literally runs it from his backyard so i don't know how bodge he his.
Has anyone had some experience with these cars? or could anyone tell me about what to look out for? The one for sale has 75,000kms, interior and exterior is pretty shmick but i don't know a whole lot about turbos so i would appreciate any help.
