Autometer temp sensor wont fit in 4AGE Sat, 05 February 2005 09:37 Go to previous message
I recently got an Autometer ultralight water temp gauge and the temp sensor that screws into the water pipe on the intake side of the engine is too long so it doesn't screw all the way in.
the stock one is only about half as long so it seals fine.
has any one ever dealt with this or heard of some sort of adapter to screw in first then screw the Autometer sensor into it?
The only other way i can think of to do it is to shove the sensor down the side of the rubber radiator hose and try to clamp it tight but this might leak and would look ugly. As I'm TRYING to build sort of a show car i would love to do it properly. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Kurt.
