car ran out of fuel today

u know how most cars have the fuel gauge pointing at E (empty) but u still have a fair bit of fuel left?? well, the ae92 levin doesnt have much reserve at all!!  car stalled today  at 480kilometres on the clock 
good thing is it stalled right outside a caltex. but the entrance was on the other end . i went in and the tight arse owner says he doesnt have a container to lend me, but has containers for sale!! WTF!!! bloody tightarse..
toymods flame ppl for certain things such as illegal racing. i hope i dont get flamed for running out of fuel

that sucks for sure.
the bastards wont lend a container cause there is a small percentage of fuck wits who steal the containers when the servo lends em out. not good for the 90% of us that do the right thing. even tho i aint run out of fuel before, when i do i hope its out the front of a servo too

yeah... not good to let your fuel run out, it sucks up all the sediment and shit that floats on the surface and blocks the fuel filter majorly, not cool

yeah i get about 350-400 out of a 40ltr tank in the ke70 during thrashing the fuck out of it, and when the empty light comes on i usually have about 20-30kms left in it...
bad luck

That sucks man, i havent run out yet.i have a 60ltr tank and when im on empty i usually have about 10-15 litres in it. Closest ive come to full empty was puttin in 57.5 ltrs on fill up, but id done close to 800kms!!!
Oh, and ben, where you driving along Kingsway turning right towards the casino about 6:00 thrusday night?i think i saw you.And if it was you, how fucked was the traffic?

cant remember but i do live along kingsway and go that way pretty much everyday. so it was prol me. what car were u driving??

OK, i have run out of fuel only once in my life, but my brother has to take the cake.
He has twice cooked an engine in his toyotas, once in yass and once in adelaide, and then proceeded to run out of petrol in both of those cars on the harbour bridge, during peakhour, ONE year apart to the day.
First car was an MS 65 Crown, second time in a Ke 70 Corolla Wagon.

I've run out of fuel and had to walk easily 20k back and forth to get fuel... Not cool...
I wish I could set up a camera in peoples car to capture their facial expression as soon as they realise theyve run out of fuel... Now that would be funny...

I have a 60litre tank and am constantly filling up with < 3 litres left. I know I shouldn't, I just CBF'd filling when I absolutely don't need to.

i usually fill up when i get down to a quarter. but then again i can't really go to work if i've got no fuel. i don't think it'd be wise to run out of fuel whilst on a delivery

yeh I hate filling up fuel and usually dont bother till its real empty,been lucky so far,but the closest I have come was when I lost my wallet in Maroubra and had to drive my 76 celica back on emptyto penrith ,I managed to scrounge up $1.80 and put that in,but just droped it in neutral whenever I had the chance,bloody lucky!
