Well, the other day we whacked a little bleed valve in my mates JZZ30 soarer. It has steel wheel turbos, 3" exhaust, stock Y-pipe, enclosed pod filter and that is about it. previously it was running .5bar of boost. I wasn't exactly sure how this could happen with a more free flowing exhaust? Anyway, we whacked the bleed valve on it and went out to a deserted road in the middle of nowhere.

He has an apexi RSM in his car so we decided to see how it went. There was 3 people in the car, total weight about 250kg. Anyway, the first run was a nice launch, tiny bit of wheelspin (he is lucky and has an LSD) and then the timer stopped at 15.9 seconds. I thought that was pretty slow considering the mods although the weight probably wouldn't help.

Next run, flicked the bleed valve, stalled it up and took off. This time there was a little more wheelspin, maybe a second or two. Then we were off and it defintely felt faster but the final time was 16.09.

As soon as my car is ready to hit the strip we are going to go to Willowbank and then he can really see how accurate it is.

Personally, I don't think it is very accurate Confused He was trapping around 150kms so that is 94mph. Anyway, just thought I would share my experiences Smile
