Cars with height adjustable suspension ?

I'm looking into this for my SA63 i don't want hydro's or air bags if i can avoid it.
It turns out we might be moving out to the country and it might have rough roads there.
I don't want to risk damaging my cars FMIC or anything else that hangs down.
I'm told some soarers came with something of that nature (it had an acronym i can't seem to find it)
it sounds like a stupid question yes maybe it is but if i want to keep my car the way it looks and not like some 4x4 it might be something i need.
any info will be greatly appreciated.
