Which diff would be better for my sprinter? Tue, 15 February 2005 08:11 Go to previous message
Was down at the local wreckers today, and they had two complete rear ends available, and I was wondering which one is easier to fit into and aus spec sprinter.

The first is an RT132 diff with code T312 out of a corona, and the second is a TE72 diff with code T302 out of a T18. Of the two, the corona diff looked cleaner as the T18 diff had a lot of surface rust on it and also some oil stain marks on the bottom of the actual diff. Both have panhard rod mounts. I am leaning more towards the T18 diff as I know it is a direct bolt up. But will have to get it rebuilt by a diff specialist. Anyone know if the Corona diff is a direct bolt up as well? Would like to know asap as I want to get either one before they both disappear. Also what is an easy way to test if the diff is ok?
