how to drive home with no clutch

I only found this out today, and thought I'd share for those not in the know.
I always knew how to change gears without clutching (rev changing), but I figured I was boned when I stopped. A quick call to my mechanic, and he tells me simply by turning the car off, putting it in first and cranking it over witha bit of throttle you can get the car going.
sure enough, this works! got me home with a busted master cylinder... very useful tip if you fry a clutch or bust a clutch line.
