Hi all. I currently have a 25wx4 amp running through an active crossover, which works fine. Bought an Alpine 3555 (50w x 4) off ebay a month ago to upgrade it, finally got around to wiring it up today.

It sounds very hissy/distorted/quiet Sad. I can't figure it out. I took out the fuse on my hot line from the battery before connecting it up, so I don't see how I could have hurt it, and the old amp still works when i swap it back in.

Just wondering if anyone with a bit of amp knowledge has any ideas. Hope I didn't buy a dud Sad
