Backpacking in NSW and Queensland	Sun, 20 February 2005 07:10

First off a bit of background. My name is Alex, I live in Vancouver BC Canada and until last week I was the proud owner of an 87 Supra Turbo (hence the user name). I am 19 years old and come September I will be going back to school studying mechanical engineering at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Anyway, myself and a friend are going to be backpacking for the next three months in NSW and Queensland. I am arriving in Sydney next friday (feb 25) and from there I don't really have any plans other than to eventually fly up to cairns and work my way back down the coast to Syd. I have never been to Australia before so this will be quite an experience. I would appreciate any recommendations of must see things, particularly in Sydney as that's where I will be first.
