Hey there people, I hope someone can help me here. It's been annoying me for AGES and I can't figure the problem out!
Anyhow, here goes.
1986 AE82 Corolla, 3spd Automatic Transmission, 4A-C obviously.
Say you're travelling at about 100km/h in drive, cars revving away at around 3,400rpm or so like it should. And you open the throttle all the way, you expect the car to slowly accelerate in the 3rd gear as its goign too fast to switch back to the 2nd. Well not this car. If you push the accelerator down, you'll end up slowing down in a nice hopping fashion, and the revs fluctuating alot as if its losing power. The only way to stop it is to let off. Now I'm not sure what the problem is but its dang annoying. I hope someone can help me out here. It just feels like its pulling and stuttering as the throttles open, i'm guessing maybe lack of fuel? or too much fuel flooding the engine? i dont know, i hope someone can help!
EDIT: Also if you put the car in Neutral while rolling at that speed, when the hopping occurs, the car stops hopping but the revs are still fluctuating So... I don't know.
Thank you for reading my problem.
