Wheel to Guard gap difference at front - Help needed
Wed, 09 March 2005 02:19
Hey all,
I am wondering if anyone has come across this issue with their car before,
I have recently put wider wheels on the car and doing so have noticed that the gap between the front guards and the wheels is different each side. On the lefthand side front the wheel sits nearly flush with the edge of the guard, but on the right handside (drivers side) the wheel actually sits in further.... over all id say the drivers side front wheel sits in about half an inch more.
The rear wheels have the same distance, so no issues at all there.
I have inspected the car all over at the front and there is no evidence of any crash damage, also had the front bar off and all is ok behind that too.
The only thing I can think of is the crossmember has been changed to the jza70 one, so maybe it was not put on exactly centre.. dunno if this is even possible?
Any help here would be fantastic as is bugging the hell out of to why its not perfectly centred.
When I get home tonight I will measure the exact distance each side from the edge of the tyre to the outside of the wheel arch.
