my brother in law has a gemini.
Listen to the tradgedies.
last week on the way to schoolies from Logan, he was reversing up his mates driveway to load stuff into the boot, the driveway was steep so it just axletramped, the push in oil filler cap FELL out and rolled down the hill.
He ran after it and got it and put it back, when he put the bonnet back down he didn't shut it fully and he doesnt have a catch.
90k down the h'way at the hyperdome on-ramp and the bonnet flipped back and hit the roof, didn't bend the roof or crack the screen. It twisted the bonnet, cowl and the hinges, went to the coast anyway.
1 week passes
on the way home from schoolies the torque tube bushes/bearings or whatever they are, shit themselves, shearing the tailshaft bolts off, no drive, BUGGER.
That night he had a hotgemini.com coast cruise on, he went {fixed shaft}, i get a call at 2.15 in the morn: "uh, where r u"
me: "near the hyperdome" him: "i think my engines dead, can u come and help me, i'm at BP stapylton" me: "F&#&^#$&$@#K"
I get there and he has no compression, no water and no oil.
blew a heater hose pumped out all the water and cooked the tits off it.
He put 30l of water in the radiator before he realised that it was rooted.
Today:
we just stripped down the G161Z
all the RH headbolts were loose
pistons number 1,2,4 were melted.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
parts of pisten rings were friction welded to the compression chamber, the 2 week old headgasket was mush, the head and block were FUBAR'ed.
Just thought i'd share that with u
go to http://www.angelfire.com/vt/dragsandstuff/mickstra gedies.html to see the previous f%$k-ups prior to today
Phil.

My first car was a gemini, and every week without fail, something would stuff up on it, an absolute nightmare of a car!

the "TURBO" laser he raced was a N/A 1.5L shitta
a week after we took the burnout shot he had a new clutch and destroyed it on the first burnout
SMOKED it
btw what shit house 1.6l manual crapper couldn't do a skid on 165's
the vk is stock except for 2.5" inch exhaust, pod filter and 215's AND a 3 speed traumatic

I loved my Gemi, it was the best car I owned. It was in mint condition, not one bit of rust or one dint, Ran like a dream. Unfortunatly only had it 6 weeks and a girl in a VS came up over the top of a hill doing 90 in a 60 zone and t-boned me. Her car was a mess, mine hardly looked like it had been in an accident, the chassis was just a bit bent from it all.

yeah my mum had her 81 gemi from new, and the only problem was one day it over heated and dad didnt notice cos the temp. gauge didnt work, so we needed a new engine, and four years later we sold it with two cylinders working for $50
