tomartom Regular Location: Brisbane Registered: June 2004	Bah Battery dud (dead) Fri, 18 March 2005 11:20 I recently purchased a second hand IBM R40. The battery has been charged 240 times and now is given up the ghost. I have three options. 1. Freeze the battery hopefully it might add to the life. 2. Buy a replacement battery on ebay, not genuine IBM but claim to be as good. 3. Spend upwards of $250.00 for a genuine battery (not keen) your help is greatly appreciated. Oh yes if freezing the battery is bad or very bad could cou please write back soon as it is in the freezer in a watertight container. regards tony [Report message to a moderator]
