hi there i'm soon to be getting another car, i will want have about $2000 - $4000. then slowly modifying it slowly for a daily driver and a weekend warrior.

i would prefer not a front wheel drive

I was thinking either:

a series 1 or 2 RX7
a sprinter ( with later 4a gze with turbo convertion and a 20v head).
86-89 celica (i know a FF)
1600 datto

any help or other ideas would be a great help thanks Cool

sprinter way out of budget unless you are getting a shitter with a 4ac in it, celica still maybe another 2K on top of what you have + more. even most datto's for a decent example head around the 5 K mark, not sure on the rx7, will be hard to find one that hasn't been raced and most cheap ones will either be thrashed or auto, any good exmaples will cost a mint.

86-89 celicas over in wa a about $4000 over here

1600's are about 1500-3000 with work

and once and a while you can get a sprinter for 2000 up in decent or needs work condition depending on the seller

a couple of other cars i was thinking of are

a VW beach buggy
a pervis eurika (a VW bettle base kit car)

Ask your mum for a loan and you can pick up this baby

Group A #5 - very rare and unmodified. Its got enough grunt to keep you entertained for a while! PM me if your interested. Also a mate of mine is selling his project RX7, which he has new 13B I/C Turbo which is an absolute weapon! But you won't get into that for under 10k.

If you can stretch the budget to $6k by saving or getting a loan you'd be in a much better position to get a decent set of wheels.

Have a look on carsales and carpoint to see what you're dealing with.

VW Beach buggy Very Happy that would be sweet

Peronsally I'd suggest the Toyota Celica. There would have too be more parts for 86-89 Celicas (not sure though). And isn't loke the majority of Sprinters I see for sale (Rusted). Just look about(doesn't really matter what sort of car you buy in the end) check every thing out (if not sure what to look for ask a mechinic or someone who know a bit about cars too look. If the seller tells you, he doesn't wan't a mechinic or someone else too look at it, tell him too get fucked! just be paitient and try not too for in love straight away. Smile
