a good friend of mine from the states has offered to give me some of his car audio gear as he has just upgraded as long as i pay for freight.its a dvd/mp3/cd player with monitor.my question is: it can be installed in my car right?just coz it is from the states wont make a difference right?i know this is prob a dumb question but hey,i gotta ask.
he also can get me really good home audio stuff at cost price(he works for a wholesale elec joint)do they use the same powerpoints/outlets as us(the ones like this / \ ).

will their stuff plug into our sockets?will the output be alright?
as i say he's a good friend and our families are really good friends and im not at all worried that he's trying to rip me off or anything.infact he's coming to stay at the end of the year with me
