pershinlica Newcomer Location: Melbourne Registered: March 2005	ST-162 3SGE engine swap Tue, 29 March 2005 13:08 Hey guys I'm a newbie so dont laught at my lack of know how! I'm about to purchase a 1986 ST-162 Toyota Celica off a mate, however the engine has been run into the ground due to lack of oil! Correct me if I'm wrong but I've assumed that it now requires a replacement engine. I've rung around and the best price i could get for a 3S-GE was around $900 plus an extra $400 on top for installation. Am I getting ripped off blind here? Is it worth installing the engine ourselves? (We have all the necessary equipment to do it safely!) BTW is anyone here selling a 3SGE engine or know of anyone doing so? Please let me know asap I would appreciate it greatly if I could get some advice from you guys Cheers [Report message to a moderator]
