Looking for old soaers Sat, 09 April 2005 12:43 Go to next message
Hey everyone.

I have been a member of ALSC(Soarer club) for a while now and have spent a while looking for the older models as i drive a GZ10. Everyone tells me that "there all on toymods" so i thought i will have to join up and see who is around.

I am specifically looking for GZ10's but any of the MZ & GZ series i am interested in. I have seen a few 20's around the place and one MZ10 but to this date i am yet to find another GZ10.

I am just wanting to know the types that are around. My GZ10 seems to have all the options (sun roof, touch panel climate, cruise control, air purifier, and original manual!!) so i want to be able to say that i own "the only one in QLD" or something along those lines.

Thanks for your help

Easy mistake, but it doesnt matter anyway, because it's got a JZ in it now. Smile

yeah they are alike. It would be absolutly crazy to put a 1j in my car. but hell fun.

Also anyone know why the 10's have a 4 stud pattern and every other soaer has 5. Is it bad to put a lot of power into 4 stud? will they break? and if not why are there 4 and 5 stud patterns then?

Thanks

4 Stud should cope with the power easily but the advantages of 5 stud are access to a bigger range of wheels and brake upgrades, thats mainly why people do them Smile

If you wanna be picky.
I actually own an mz10 and a gz10
I just chose to do up the mz10 as i bought it without an engine, had less rust and has a sunroof
And if you really wanna get picky.. its actually a jzz10 as it no longer has an mteu.
GZ10 is spare parts car
MZ10

Yeah, and MZ11=5mge and MZ12=6mge.

The Z1 soarers are heavily based on the A6 Supras, hence the 4 stud.

I'll be getting an MZ10 soon if things go to plan, and if more things go to plan it will be getting a 1uz. So it will be a UZZ10

Do you have any plans for where to get your MZ10. my friend is selling his pretty cheap. not that much is up with it and he has spent heaps fixing it up. his name is justin and he has already placed an ad in the for sale section under "Soarer for sale!" i think. check it out if your interested.

Jag7799

would be interested in meeting you some time for a chat if thats cool with you. i am just north of brissy. You say your GZ10 is for parts? Those wheels don't look too bad if you want to get rid of them Very Happy lol. You don't happen to have a sun roof on that either do you? i need the roof lining clips

Im in everton Park in bis.. can meet up sometimes, but will have to be after i get back from the uk mid may. Im a bit busy up until i leave.
gz10 doesent have a sunroof.. but you could basically find any toyota with a sunroof of almost the same vintage it would most likely have the same clips.. also they are piss poor clips that you could make yourself in about 5 minutes.
Those rims are now on my mz10, gz10 has stockers front and some crappy thingfs on the back but is currently on car stands. It will be fully restored for my gf shortly.

Thanks man, but I can guarantee its more than I'm willing to pay.

I've got one sorted, just waiting on a few things.

Hey Guys,

I don't know if it helps but last time I was down at ABC Wreckers at Oxley (QLD) they had an early model soarer there that looked to be in good nick in the for sale section of the yard. I think it had about $1500-$2000 on it.

BUT, it has been about a month and a half since I went down there.
