Just need a bit of help with my conversion...
I've got a stock 71 TA22 which i am fitting with a
89 VN V6 3.8L engine that I have acquired. I have the VN auto gearbox,as well as the wiring etc. (before anyone says why VN, I got the engine / parts at an exceptional price) ..
My main problem is the diff.
I want to get a diff what will handle the new engine, but I cant seem to track a suitable one down, that will not require heaps of modification. My main requirement is that it HAS to be disc brake rear end, and I would like it to be LSD.
I looked into a sprinter diff but it is rather $$$... I then tried a corona diff, but it doesnt fit..easily.. I dont want to have to cut up the stock celica diff to use on another one to make it fit.. I would prefer something that would bolt in easily... with little or no modification... Any ideas? Any help is very much appreciated as I am getting rather frustrated with trying to find the 'right one'..
