Hey, anyone had any experience hooking one of these up to a Toyota factory oxygen sensor? Just wondering if anyone had any tips or things to look out for. Cheers, chris

Just be aware that as they use the std narrow band sensors (same as in toyotas-and pretty much everything else factory) they are no good for tuning. They tend to flick around wildly (and annoyingly..)

Take it easy,
Sean

Yeah, what he said. These devices are 100% wank, they serve no practical purpose at all. But some people love lots of flashing LEDs in their cabin...

Better to go for a wideband meter -

http://wbo2.com/ for example.

I disagree my GT4 has one, its not perfect. However it tells me when I am runnning really rich (on boost.) Goes to green.

I recommend that you install one if you have the time and the money to.

They do flicker about though and will only give you an accurate reading on WOT (wide open throttle) or when crusing at a steady speed.

When they flicker about that means; The ECU has initiated maximum fuel efficiency and cannot establish a perfect air/fuel ratio so it will flicker back and forth. A problem can be deteceted if running rich when cruising. (should flicker)
